The revised guidelines and final draft of the concession agreement for the planned P4 billion transportation hub project in Taguig City have been set.
The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) issued General Bid Bulletin 16-2015, which informs the four prequalified bidders on the revised instructions and concession agreement for the Integrated Transport System–South Terminal.
The prequalified bidders, namely Ayala Land Inc., Filinvest Land Inc., Datem Inc., and MWM Terminals, have until July 31 to submit their bids.
The 5.57-hectare South terminal project involves the construction of a passenger terminal building, arrival and departure bays, public information systems, ticketing and baggage holding facilities as well as park-ride facilities.
It aims to connect commuters from Laguna and Batangas to other urban transport systems such as the proposed P288 billion North-South Commuter Rail of the Philippine National Railways, city buses, taxis, and other public utility vehicles that serve inner Metro Manila.
The bid amount for the project can be in the form of an annual grantor payment wherein the government will pay the winning concessionaire to undertake the project or in the form of annual concession payment to be paid by the concessionaire to the DOTC.
The P3.15 billion ITS-Southwest Terminal project along the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (Cavitex) was earlier awarded to MWM Terminals.
